For VHF\/UHF, any license holder can operate the station. Non-licensed operators require a control operator to be present.<\/p>\n<p>Please plan on joining us with your family.\u00a0\u00a0 Adults and kids\u00a0 will have fun seeing people talk all over the country and the world, listening to Morse code, visiting the official JPL Emergency Communication Van, seeing sun spots with a solar telescope, and more!\u00a0 Our operators are friendly and ready to answer your questions.<\/p>\n<p>There will be a pot-luck dinner at 6pm on Saturday, June 23.\u00a0 On Sunday morning at 8am Sunday morning, June 24, there will be a pancake breakfast.\u00a0 Please let us know if you would like to join us for either meal!<\/p>\n<p><strong>There is a lot for us to do to get ready for Field Day:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Verify\/update JPL checklists by reviewing each station diagram carefully<\/li>\n<li>Find\/Confirm locations of all JPL items\n<ul>\n<li>Need help with this, will schedule after-work session(s) to do this<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Final preparations on work party, June 8th\n<ul>\n<li>Locate all antennas (80-40m dipole, Cushcraft ATB-34 Yagi)<\/li>\n<li>Locate\/construct 75m dipole<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>JPL Publicity for Field stop buy to observe\/participate with Tom Mikkelsen WA0POD as satellite passes occur.<\/li>\n<li><strong>HHF\/VHF\/UHF Get On The Air (GOTA) station<\/strong> for operators who have been licensed during the past year, operators who haven\u2019t been active for a while, or not-yet-licensed operators (there will be someone there to serve as control operator).\u00a0 This station will operate only <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_724703511\"><span class=\"aQJ\">on Saturday<\/span><\/span> from <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_724703512\"><span class=\"aQJ\">1pm to 5pm<\/span><\/span> and will have a coach \/ control operator there at all times.\u00a0 We plan to operate on 10m or 15m and possibly on VHF\/UHF.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.signupgenius.com\/go\/4090c4fafa72da7f49-getonthe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"
